SHADE AUDIT FOR SCHOOLS

Conducting a Shade Audit to determine your critical shade requirements for your school grounds and to shade outdoor areas is always advisable to do before deciding what shade structure you need.

Your Shade Audit will establish:

1. Critical sun protection time for area in question
2. Total school outdoor area to be covered
3. Total shaded area required
4. Pattern of use for children in outdoor school areas
5. Expected UVR levels

The result will be an identified amount of shade structures required for your school.

The most common areas outdoors with critical shade requirements are where students congregate around playground equipment, benches and tables, outdoor basketball courts, tennis courts, baseball and football grounds and other sports fields. School kindergarten playgrounds over playground equipment, sand boxes, etc offer wonderful shade pavilions for toddlers as they play outside. Outside reading areas are another feature found in most schools today, and providing shade will enhance this possibility further. Military Development child care centers, Head starts, Churches and Worship Centers have found our shade products useful to shade existing playgrounds. Offering shade refuge for spectators, off-field participants, coaches and teachers is another area where shade provision is advisable.

Once your shade requirements have been made, you will be able to determine what type of shade structure you wish to install in your school. We offer a wide variety of shade structures for sun shade, using fabric shade UV stabilized polyethylene, our shade structures and shade sails are the perfect solution to protect your children from sun damage and overexposure to the sun.
