I began working with schools in January 1999, at the same time that we started our shade structure manufacturing facility in

San Antonio, Texas.  Although our shade structures cover every possible need under the sun, schools were where my heart was led.  I felt drawn to this market knowing that it was imperative that our children be protected while at play outdoors. 

 Through the various experiences in consultation with schools, we learned that schools did not have shade structures through lack of awareness but more from lack of funding, and the process of raising funds for this capital expense would take 1 - 2 years.  We knew there had to be a different way to shorten the timeline and make the shade more accessible.  Thus, Shade4Schools was born.  This fundraising program is donation based and allows schools to raise funds within a school semester or school year.   Our program has been enthusiastically received from schools across the country, and we are optimistic that this will put shade more in reach to schools today.”
